If you come to Berlin for the first time, do not miss the karaoke and flea market at MAUERPARK

Every sunday the popular flea market at Mauerpark occurs. Besides buying some nice old vintage stuff you can (mostly) take a look (and a sympathetic ear) to a really funny phenomenom: bearpit karaoke. Behind that stands a guy named Joe Hatchiban, who started doing karaoke by using portable, battery-powered boxes to "help people unleash their inner Rampensau" (Rampensau means limelight hog). For further informations and planed apperiances at Mauerpark please check out his website.

The Mauerpark is a really fancied place of Berlin. On sundays there often are thousands of people wandering through the market, watching the spectacular karaoke show as picture beneath shows!!! Do not miss!

The park is located near Eberswalder Straße (Trainstation Underground Eberswalderstraße) in district Prenzlauer Berg. If karaoke is organised, it starts about 3 o' clock in the afternoon.

By having decent weather Mauerpark is also a nice location for some chillin'. Sitting in the sun, drinking a few bear etc. A nice place, which I absolutely entrust.

If you have goods you don't like to own anymore, you can also rent a stand at Mauerpark flea market. My friend and I did and made some good money :-)
